Transport is a hugely important issue in ‘one planet’ living. Sustainable Frome members have been involved in campaigns to make the town a better place for pedestrians and cyclists and to see improvements in the public transport network, so that people can make greener transport choices

In 2014, Sustainable Frome members organised an entry into the annual town carnival to highlight the issues of one planet living, with a procession of bees on bicycles.

In the Children’s Festival in 2014, members organised a Bikeability taster (a kind of cycling proficiency) and free bike maintenance checks.

The campaign also wants to see the cycle route extended to the east of Frome, towards Longleat. This campaign, Frome’s Missing Links, has its own website and does most of its own organisation.

The first section of the new route was officially opened on 31st January 2015.
