Incredible Edible Frome is part of a successful national movement that describes itself as “passionate people working together for a world where all share responsibility for the future wellbeing of our planet and ourselves”, and aims “to provide access to good local food for all”. Locally we’re committed to working from the grassroots up by finding disused/poorly used green spaces in our town and together with our local community, exploring the viable options for a given site.
The Town Council has given us permission to plant fruit, veg, and plants for bees and butterflies in the public planters around town, and also in beds in Victoria Park. They are now giving us the chance to create a Health and Well-being Garden in the park, and IEF is running a children’s design competition as part of the permaculture design process.
